Love-a-List is a mobile app that helps you organize your daily to-do tasks and boost your productivity. It’s a proactive to-do list that connects your tasks with real-world solutions. By sharing your needs, local experts (and even friendly neighbors) can reach out with advice, offers, or support – helping you save time and get things done.
Love-a-List is completely free to use. You can download it on any iPhone or Android device. Simply search for “Love-a-List” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and install the app. Once installed, open the app to sign up and start adding tasks to your list.
Yes. You’ll need to create a free account to use Love-a-List. Signing up (using your email or Apple/Google account) takes just a minute. Your account lets you manage settings, and see any replies or offers from helpers.
To add a task, tap the + (New Task) button in the app. Enter a title and details for your to-do item, and set due dates if needed. You can also choose whether to keep the task private (only you will see it) or shared (others nearby can see it). Finally, tap Save to add it to your to-do list.
Yes – you have full control. By default, tasks are shared meaning it will appear on the Community Task List and be visible to other nearby users and local businesses. Sharing lets neighbors offer advice or help. If you prefer, you can always leave a task private and use Love-a-List simply as your personal to-do list.
When you finish a task, tap Complete to mark it as done. If you made a mistake, don’t worry – you can undo it. Love-a-List lets you reinstate any task you accidentally marked complete. Just find the completed task in your list and tap Reinstate to move it back to your active tasks.
Absolutely. To update a task, tap on it and then use the Edit option to change its title, notes, due date, etc. If you no longer need a task, you can delete it so it’s completely removed from your list.
Yes. Love-a-List is designed to work even without an internet connection. You can view, add, and edit your tasks offline. When you’re offline, you won’t receive new messages or offers until you reconnect to the internet, but your to-do list is still fully accessible.
The Community Task List shows tasks that other Love-a-List users have shared within a 5-mile radius of you. It’s a way to see what your neighbors need help with. You can browse these shared tasks, and if you have the right skills or advice, offer your assistance or recommendations.
When you share a task, nearby users and local businesses can see it. Neighbors can comment with tips or volunteer to help, and local service providers in our network can offer quotes or advice. Love-a-List connects your tasks with real-world solutions – local experts can reach out to give you the best support or service for the job.
Yes (if you choose). Love-a-List is built to connect you directly with nearby service providers. When you post a task that matches their business (like plumbing, gardening, pet care, etc.), those local suppliers can contact you through the app. You’ll get offers or messages from businesses, allowing you to compare options. Working with local businesses keeps money in your community and helps small owners thrive.
If you haven’t heard back yet, don’t worry. We’re continually adding more users and businesses to Love-a-List, so more help is on the way. If a task is very niche or specialized, it might take longer for a match to be available. You can try refining your task details or checking the app’s suggested providers list.
Love-a-List is designed to bring neighbors together. You can check the Community Task List to find ways to help others – even small acts build goodwill. When you hire a local business through the app, you keep money in your area. The app also makes it easy to connect with trusted nearby businesses, so neighbors and owners form real relationships. Every task completed locally helps strengthen the community.
Your privacy is protected. By default, your private tasks are visible only to you. Other users will only see tasks you choose to share, and they only see the first part of your postcode (for a general location); your exact address remains hidden. We will not share your phone number or email with anyone unless you explicitly allow us to.
If you ever encounter inappropriate or abusive behavior (from a user or a business), you can report it directly in the app. We take reports seriously and will investigate any issues you flag. Our goal is to keep Love-a-List safe for everyone, so please use the report feature whenever something seems wrong.
Love-a-List gives you control and safety features. Never share sensitive personal information (like your exact address or financial details) outside of the app. If you decide to meet or hire someone from Love-a-List, use common sense: consider meeting in a public place or verifying credentials if possible. Always feel free to keep tasks private if you prefer, and report anything suspicious. We monitor the app to make sure it remains a friendly, helpful community space.
